Job Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Learning & Development Manager to join a well-established manufacturing business in Worcestershire.
This is a key role within the HR function, responsible for developing and delivering the company’s learning and development strategy across a fast-paced operational environment. The successful candidate will work closely with senior leadership, HR and operational teams to build organisational capability, improve employee development and support long-term business growth.
This position would suit an experienced L&D professional with a strong background in manufacturing or FMCG who enjoys working closely with operational teams and driving practical, impactful learning solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement the company’s learning & development strategy and annual training plan
* Manage and continuously improve the Learning Management System (LMS) and digital learning content
* Conduct skills gap analysis and create targeted development plans across the business
* Partner with managers and HR teams to support employee development and succession planning
* Oversee onboarding and induction processes for new starters, internal moves and agency workers
* Support apprenticeship, graduate and work experience programmes
* Build relationships with external training providers, colleges and partner organisations
* Monitor training compliance, records and audit requirements
* Evaluate training effectiveness and use data to drive continuous improvement
* Support wider HR and organisational development projects where required
Candidate Requirements:
* Previous Learning & Development experience within manufacturing or FMCG is essential
* CIPD Level 5 in Learning & Development or equivalent qualification
* Strong experience using Learning Management Systems and digital learning platforms
* Experience identifying training needs and delivering effective development solutions
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
* Organised, proactive and able to manage multiple priorities effectively
* Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office and HR/L&D systems

Hours of Work:
40 hours per week
8.00am–4.00pm or 9.00am–5.00pm
This role is primarily site-based, with occasional remote working flexibility available.
