Our welcoming primary school in Huyton is seeking a dedicated Behaviour Support Assistant to join our team and help create a safe, supportive learning environment for pupils with additional behavioural needs. About You: Experience working with children or young people, ideally in an educational setting. Ability to manage challenging behaviour calmly and effectively. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. A positive, patient, and resilient attitude. Willingness to undertake relevant training (e.g., Thrive Approach, Team Teach). Ideal Candidate: Previous experience supporting children with behavioural or social/emotional needs (school or care setting preferred). Calm, patient, and resilient when managing challenging situations. Strong communication skills and ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff. Knowledge of behaviour management strategies and willingness to learn new approaches. A proactive attitude and commitment to helping every child succeed. Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant) are desirable but not essential. Key Responsibilities: Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with behavioural needs. Implement behaviour strategies and interventions under teacher guidance. Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment.
