Job Title: Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) Practitioner – Level 4
Location:South West Wales (multi-site role)
Hours:Day shifts (8am–8pm), some evenings/weekends, on-call rotation
About the Role:
We’re looking for a passionate and motivated PBS Practitioner (Level 4 ) to join our specialist residential services. You’ll work closely with a Level 5 PBS Practitioner to support individuals with learning disabilities, autism, and complex needs. This is a hands-on role where you’ll help develop and deliver person-centred behaviour support plans, improve quality of life, and reduce restrictive practices.
What You’ll Do:
* Support assessments and help create PBS plans
* Provide direct support and crisis intervention
* Promote positive, person-centred approaches
* Collect and analyse behavioural data
* Coach staff on PBS strategies
* Take part in debriefs and team meetings
* Keep accurate records and reports
* Commit to ongoing training and development
What We’re Looking For:
* Experience supporting people with learning disabilities, autism, or mental health needs
* Understanding of PBS or ABA principles
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* Willingness to learn and complete PBS training
* Organised, reflective, and compassionate
* Flexible and able to work across different services
Desirable:
* Experience in care, education, or healthcare
* Working towards a qualification in Health & Social Care, Psychology, or related field
* Familiarity with behavioural data collection
