Robert Half Talent Solutions are seeking a Financial Controller for a successful manufacturing organisation based in the Cardiff area.
The Financial Controller is a key role in the senior leadership for this organisation.
The Role
1. Finance Leadership: Direct the UK finance function, reporting straight to the Finance Director and Board.
2. Strategic Partnering: Guide senior directors on commercial decisions, investment appraisals, and business cases.
3. Team Development: Mentor, lead, and upskill Finance Team Leaders to foster a high-performance culture.
4. Financial Control: Oversee budgeting, forecasting, risk management, and long-term planning.
5. Governance & Reporting: Ensure total compliance with UK GAAP/IFRS, SOX reporting, and statutory audits.
6. Process Evolution: Drive continuous improvements in financial policies, systems, and cost-reduction strategies.
🎯 What We Need
7. Qualifications: Fully CIMA, ACA OR ACCA qualified
8. Experience: Proven senior leadership experience, ideally within a manufacturing environment.
9. Technical Skills: Strong reporting background, audit management
10. Systems: Advanced MS Excel skills (Macros, Pivots, VLOOKUPs). SAP or Oracle experience is a plus.
11. Leadership: Exceptional stakeholder management, negotiation, and communication skills.
On Offer:
A salary of up to £70,000 plus benefits.
