Overview
A well-established law firm in Nottingham is seeking an experienced Legal Cashier to join its finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented individual with prior legal accounts experience to play a key role in ensuring the firm's financial processes run smoothly and in line with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Processing client and office account transactions in accordance with the SRA Accounts Rules
Handling receipts, payments, transfers and bill postings
Managing CHAPS and BACS payments
Performing daily bank reconciliations
Supporting month-end and year-end procedures
Assisting with VAT returns and disbursements
Dealing with queries from fee earners and external parties
Maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance at all times
Requirements
Previous experience working as a Legal Cashier within a law firm
Strong understanding of the SRA Accounts Rules
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Good organisational and time-management skills
Confident using legal accounts and case management systems
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
