What's involved with this role: Temporary Facilities Operative – Waste Services Reference no: VLA 5247644 Pay Rate: £11.44 per hour PAYE Hours per week: 40 Monday – Friday, normal working hours Role Length: This opening assignment is for 3 months City: Oxford, Oxfordshire The purpose of the role is to work in a safe and appropriate manner to provide an efficient waste management & cleaning service within a busy factory environment. Key responsibilities: Collection and processing of all site generated waste to meet the demands of the production areas and as directed by the team leader. Process all site generated waste in accordance with local operating procedures including segregation, baling, compacting & general disposal ensuring the general cleanliness of the assigned areas at all times. Undertake waste & cleaning duties of the Oxford Facility as directed by the Team Leader. Ability to act independently and working on own initiative where required. Ability to use a mobile phone with a cleaning app for logging and tracking all allocated work to be actioned when completed, and for recording faults identified during the working shift that can be logged with the Siemens Facilities department. Ensure that checklists and compliance documentation is completed accurately as required for all equipment and services as appropriate. Aptitude to safely operate waste compactors, baling machines, vacuum cleaners, floor scrubbing machines and buffing machines as appropriate to the role. Ensure regular checks of the machinery and equipment used are carried out during the working day and any faults or defects to be reported to the Cleaning Team Leader or Siemens Facilities Manager as appropriate. Attend and participate in training sessions as required for the role. Liaise with other Waste & Clean Team members on a daily basis and be adaptable to changing priorities that may occur at short notice.
