About the Role
We are seeking a Vice President to join our GLOBAL PAYMENTS – SANCTIONS SCREENING OPS/INVESTIGATIONS team. In this role, you will develop and deliver training to teams reviewing sanctions alerts, investigate sanctions matters, and ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory standards. You will also monitor operational performance through metrics, provide expertise in sanctions screening, and manage relationships with stakeholders across Compliance, Operations, Technology, and Risk.
Responsibilities
1. Develop and provide training to teams on sanctions alerts review, investigations, and compliance standards.
2. Review operational performance using KPIs and KRIs, adjusting training to drive continuous improvement.
3. Maintain thorough knowledge of sanctions screening processes and adhere to regulatory guidelines.
4. Identify and resolve complex issues through subject matter expertise and process evaluation.
5. Manage relationships with key stakeholders to enhance stakeholder and client experience.
6. Recruit, motivate, and develop staff to maximize team contribution and professional growth.
7. Ensure team achieves operational goals and complies with risk management standards.
Qualifications
* 8+ years of relevant experience, preferably in sanctions screening or related fields.
* Subject matter expertise in sanctions regulations (US, EU, UK).
* Broad understanding of sanctions designations and investigations.
* Strong self-motivation, performance, and multi-tasking skills.
* Line management and project management experience is advantageous.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
