This is a great opportunity to join our Sales team as a Sales Account Manager (SAM), supporting our goal to be a leading provider of sustainable energy solutions. You will partner with customers on their journey towards carbon neutrality and aim to serve 5-10% of the UK business energy market by 2030.
Responsibilities
* Proactively price, negotiate, and close energy and value-added contracts with brokers and direct customers.
* Develop and maintain a portfolio of accounts, build relationships, and support sales enquiries.
* Build relationships with brokers and customers to drive new contracts and retain existing business.
* Manage queries and collaborate with internal teams to resolve issues.
* Plan and implement business wins from pre-qualification to contract setup.
* Understand the energy market and develop new opportunities.
* Achieve sales targets and KPIs, produce sales plans, and report on activities.
* Utilize Shell IT tools like Salesforce to develop customer knowledge.
* Promote new products and undertake projects as directed.
Candidate Profile
We seek candidates with sales experience in the utilities/energy sector, with a successful track record in B2B sales and added value energy products. Strong communication, negotiation skills, and the ability to build relationships are essential. Well-organized, self-motivated, and a good problem-solver.
