Offer Description

Director of Student Market Research, Insights & Planning

Founded in 1829, King’s College London is an internationally renowned research-intensive university in the heart of London, dedicated to driving positive and sustainable change in society and realising our vision of making the world a better place.

Kings has over 40,000 students from some 150 countries, and over 12,000 employees and our network spans pioneering thinkers across all sectors, from policymakers, healthcare professionals, entrepreneurs, and scientists, to name just a few. With nine diverse faculties, King’s offers a dynamic home for our students to thrive.

We are now seeking a Director of Student Market Research, Insights, & Planning to provide crucial, data-driven support which will allow us to continue to innovate how we attract students. The postholder will lead a team responsible for providing critical information and understanding regarding incoming students and act as a research and insight hub for the university’s student recruitment efforts.

By conducting market insight and research analysis, identifying the prospective student journey, understanding key decision points and influencers, and ensuring accurate measurement and reporting of performance metrics, this role will inform and help to shape our overall recruitment strategy to guarantee continued success in an increasingly competitive global market. As a member of the Global Student Recruitment and Admissions senior team, and working collaboratively with peers, the postholder will identify key areas for investment, opportunities for growth, and optimisation of recruitment strategies in line with core King’s principles.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in market research and data analysis leadership positions, preferably in large and complex environments. In working with colleagues across the university, and from various disciplinary backgrounds, they will be required to evidence excellent communication and analytical skills, and able to lead and collaborate on large projects. The successful candidate will also be expected to demonstrate a commitment to King’s principles and values, particularly around equality, diversity and inclusion.

The closing date for applications is 17.00 on Friday 27th June. The selection process will include a formal two stage interview process.

King’s is committed to equality, diversity and inclusion and through this appointment it is our aim to develop candidate pools that include applicants from all backgrounds and communities.
