The Role
We have an exciting opportunity for several new General Assistant positions at both Laburnum Lodge (Breightmet) and Wilfred Geere House (Farnworth).
What will your working week look like?
* Contractual hours ranging between 14-20 hours a week (to be discussed at interview)
* Opportunities to pick up additional shifts
* Rolling 4-week rota
* Working hours between 7:30am and 7pm depending on shift pattern
* Weekend on/weekend off basis to promote work/life balance
You will be:
* Ensuring general cleanliness and high standards of hygiene throughout the premises.
* Ensuring bedding and residents’ personal clothing are clean and laundered.
* Completing deep cleans when required.
* Following cleaning schedules in accordance with Bolton Council & NHS requirements.
What do we do?
We provide 24-hour residential care for service users requiring continuation of care and rehabilitation across two units: Laburnum Lodge in Breightmet and Wilfred Geere House in Farnworth. Our goal is to support residents in regaining independence and returning home or moving to other care arrangements. We promote joint working with NHS and local authority staff on-site and ensure infection control compliance.
About You
The ideal candidate will be motivated, able to work independently and as part of a team. You’ll be task-focused and committed to completing your duties. Experience is not necessary, but you must be able to follow instructions, meet deadlines, and be flexible with working hours, including shifts between 7:30am and 7pm and working on Bank Holidays. Training will be provided.
