Reception Teacher (ASAP Start)

Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:30am-4:00pm
Contract: Full-Time, Long-Term
We are a recruitment agency working on behalf of a friendly and supportive one-form entry primary school in Thornton Heath, who are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Reception Teacher to cover long-term sickness.
This is a full-time teaching role with full classroom responsibilities, ideal for a passionate Early Years professional who enjoys helping children make a strong start to their school journey.
The Role:
Full class responsibility within Reception
Planning and delivering engaging lessons in line with the EYFS framework
Assessing, monitoring, and reporting on pupil progress
Creating a nurturing, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment
Working closely with support staff, the EYFS team, and parents
Ensuring safeguarding and wellbeing remain a priority at all times
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or qualified Early Years Educator - essential
EYFS teaching experience, or experience teaching Year 1
Experience using Little Wandle phonics is preferred
Strong classroom management and organisational skills
Good knowledge of early reading, phonics, and child development
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
