Overview
St Giles Spencer Academy is an Outstanding Primary Special Academy in Derby City. The Spencer Academies Trust is looking to appoint a reliable Relief Catering Assistant on a zero-hour contract. Main duties will include providing cover at St Giles Spencer Academy but also at other local schools within the trust, and the preparation, presentation and service of food to pupils. You must be able to demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, be an effective team member and be calm and creative in your approach to working with pupils with additional needs.

Responsibilities
* Provide relief cover for St Giles Spencer Academy and other local schools within the Spencer Academies Trust.
* Prepare, present and serve food to pupils in line with nutritional and safety standards.
* Collaborate effectively as a member of the catering team and engage positively with pupils, including those with additional needs.
* Uphold high standards of cleanliness and food safety in accordance with Trust policies.
Qualifications and requirements
* Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work calmly and creatively with pupils who have additional needs.
* Strong teamwork and reliable conduct in a school catering environment.
* Willingness to work on a zero-hour contract and travel between Trust sites as required.
* Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children; willingness to undertake required pre-employment checks (DBS Enhanced, Barred List where applicable, and Level 2 Safeguarding training).
