We’re seeking a Directs Procurement Manager to oversee direct materials procurement across a diverse portfolio of projects, ensuring alignment with business goals and long-term supply chain development.
This is a high-impact role combining operational execution with strategic leadership, offering the opportunity to shape procurement practices and influence company-wide performance.
Role Overview:
* Lead and develop a team of direct procurement professionals.
* Establish and manage supplier agreements, SLAs, and KPIs to optimise value and mitigate risk.
* Drive strategic sourcing initiatives and procurement transformation.
* Analyse market intelligence to inform procurement decisions.
* Collaborate across business units to align procurement strategies with operational needs.
* Champion sustainability, innovation, and continuous improvement in procurement practices.
Role requirements:
* Proven experience in direct procurement, ideally within the construction or engineering sectors.
* Strong leadership and stakeholder engagement skills.
* Strategic mindset with the ability to influence and drive change.
* Knowledge of supplier frameworks, contract negotiation, and procurement transformation.
* CIPS qualification is desirable but not essential.
* Excellent communication, analytical, and decision-making abilities.
