You will join us on a part-time, permanent basis and in return, you will receive a competitive salary, pro-rata of £24,791 - £25,935 per annum (i.e., £10,854.44 - £11,355.32), plus pro-rata of £610.08 Crawley Weighting Allowance per annum (£267.12).
The Examinations Coordinator Role:
As our Examinations Co-ordinator, you will work with a team delivering an efficient and effective service at Crawley College to all students. You will be responsible for making exam entries, preparing invigilator materials, communicating timetables with students and staff, recording achievements, and distributing exam results.
The tasks you undertake will ensure our students have the best possible experience during their exams.
Our Examinations Co-ordinator should have administrative experience, proven customer service skills, and strong IT proficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver the examinations service for your designated curriculum area.
* Process exam registrations and entries via the college MIS system and awarding organisation websites, meeting deadlines.
* Arrange exam bookings for on-demand tests in liaison with curriculum staff, maintaining the exams calendar to prevent clashes.
* Plan examination delivery, including timetabling, rooming, staffing, and communicate these arrangements.
* Ensure students receive the required exam access arrangements, working with the Additional Support team.
* Administer the production, distribution, and collection of exam packs for invigilators.
* Resolve issues on the day of exams to support invigilators and ensure smooth exam conduct.
* Occasionally invigilate exams when needed.
* Maintain security of exam materials according to JCQ and awarding organisation regulations.
* Manage requests for special consideration and post-results services like remarks and script requests.
* Verify and process achievement and certification claims, resolving queries to maximize achievement rates.
* Prepare and record dispatch of exam results and certificates.
Skills and Experience:
* Proficiency in office IT applications, ideally Microsoft Office.
* Experience handling confidential data.
* Experience in customer service and public interaction.
* Experience in planning service delivery.
* Educated to Level 3 standard (2 A Levels or equivalent) or relevant experience.
* GCSE Maths and English at grade 4/C or higher.
