Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Swim Instructor and/or Lifeguard to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for teaching and a strong background in the swimming industry. As a Swim Instructor, you will be responsible for providing high-quality swimming lessons to individuals of primary ages (School years and of various skill levels, ensuring a safe and enjoyable learning environment.
As a Lifeguard, you will be responsible for overseeing the swim safety of the service users within the swimming pool.
Swim Instructor Responsibilities
Conduct swimming lessons for various age groups, from beginners to advanced swimmers.
Develop tailored lesson plans that cater to the individual needs of each student.
Ensure the safety of all participants during lessons by enforcing pool rules and guidelines.
Provide constructive feedback to students to help them improve their swimming techniques.
Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills.
Lifeguard Responsibilities
Oversee the swim safety of the service users within the swimming pool.
Maintain a clean and organised pool area before and after lessons.
Communicate effectively with students and their guardians regarding progress and any concerns.
Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills.
Swim Instructor Requirements
Previous experience in swimming or teaching is highly desirable.
Level 2 Swim Instructor Qualification
Driving Licence and access to a vehicle
Strong swimming skills with the ability to demonstrate various techniques effectively.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and approachable demeanour.
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends as required.
Current CPR certification is preferred but not mandatory; Valid First Aid certification is mandatory.

Schedule:
Monday to Friday 8:30-4pm (hours subject to change)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £7.55-£15.00 per hour
