Home Tutor Location: Macclesfield Pay: £30 per hour (dependent on experience and/or qualifications) Start Date: September 2025 Contract Type: Part-time, after school, long-term Vision for Education is looking to appoint a dedicated and well-qualified Home Tutor to teach English and maths to students on a one-to-one basis who are currently unable to access mainstream education. Sessions may take place at the student’s home, but could also be held in the local library or neighbourhood hub, dependant on the student’s needs. The ideal Home Tutor will be flexible in their teaching approach, have the ability to tailor sessions to meet the student’s needs and have a strong understanding of both the GCSE and Functional Skills curricula. Although part time, hours may be increased for the right Home Tutor. Requirements: A teaching qualification (e.g., QTS, PGCE, TESOL, BA Ed etc.) Ability to teach both maths and English to GCSE Experience working with secondary-aged students and those with SEND & SEMH Strong planning and communication skills A commitment to delivering regular, reliable tuition Flexibility to deliver online or in-person sessions as needed Organisation to submit clear and timely reports on engagement and attendance What we offer: As a Home Tutor, part of our team, you benefit from: Excellent daily rates paid using the PAYE system.
