The Role
Joining Hampshire County Council as a Trainee Asbestos Surveyor (Level 1), you’ll play a key part in delivering our UKAS‑accredited Asbestos Management Services to the County Council and external partners. Working alongside experienced professionals, you’ll gain hands‑on experience in both site and office environments while developing the skills needed to become an accomplished asbestos surveyor.
What you’ll do
* Assist with asbestos surveys and sample analysis using polarised light microscopy techniques
* Follow strict procedures and quality standards to ensure compliance with UKAS accreditation
* Support office‑based tasks including data logging, report compilation, and equipment maintenance
* Work under supervision while learning industry best practices and preparing for formal qualifications
