About the Role
Strong product management is critical to the success of Aqualisa, where our innovative product offering is a key market differentiator. The Assistant Product Manager plays a vital role in supporting the development and execution of the company’s multiyear product strategy—ensuring Aqualisa maintains its reputation as a market leader in shower innovation.
Reporting to the Product Manager, this role is responsible for managing core elements of the product portfolio, enhancing profitability, driving new product development, and helping shape the future of the range based on market insight. The role combines strategic vision with operational execution, including product data management, performance reporting, range rationalisation, and literature updates.
This is a dynamic opportunity to contribute to the continued growth and innovation of a well-respected brand, working cross-functionally and in close collaboration with marketing, engineering, and sales teams.
What you will be responsible for:
1. Assist in Delivering Innovative Product Plans
* Support the development of a long-term vision for the Aqualisa range rooted in market insight and end-user needs.
* Help identify opportunities to differentiate Aqualisa products and justify premium market positioning.
2. Support New Product Launches
* Contribute to product specification development and identify gaps in the current range.
* Collaborate with the Product Manager and Project Manager to support go-to-market strategies.
* Ensure marketing assets and launch timelines are delivered effectively.
3. Manage Product Portfolio
* Assist in optimising portfolio profitability through data-driven planning and analysis.
* Maintain and update product ranges, contributing to rationalisation plans and deletion strategies.
* Ensure compliance and design updates are reflected in literature and packaging.
4. Support Daily Product Team Operations
* Complete Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) where appropriate.
* Monitor product performance against sales targets, delivering regular performance and market share reports.
* Present insights in a clear and impactful way to inform business decisions.
5. General Duties
* Carry out any additional tasks aligned with the role’s objectives.
* Proactively identify issues and contribute to innovative solutions.
What you will be great at:
Experience:
* Some experience in marketing or product management is desirable.
* Knowledge of the shower category or similar product industries.
* Understanding of consumers and the 4Ps of marketing.
* Experience communicating across multiple organisational levels.
Skills:
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Proficient in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to analyse and present data effectively.
* Confident presenting to stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
* Able to manage projects efficiently under tight deadlines.
* Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
