This role will see you support the platform development team through analysis of NGS data throughout the R&D lifecycle. Key role requirements: Analysis of a range of data sets generated by teams in R&D, including processing of the raw electronic signals generated by the NGS platformDevelopment of new data visualisation techniques to support the activity in the laboratoryWorking closely with the lab teams to maintain dialogue relating to the data results which inform experimental designMonitoring signal processing algorithms to suggest methods for improvementSupport and offer subject matter expertise to assist with the design and implementation of high-throughput automated primary DNA sequencing signal analysis software (eg base calls, phasing, mapped reads, signal to noise, quality etc)Working to maintain an accurate and efficient Quality Management System, fulfilling all relevant documentation commensurate with ISO 13485 quality standard Person specification: Masters or PhD in a relevant field such as Applied Mathematics, Biomedical Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, Bioinformatics, or relatedProficient in Python, SciPy, NumPy, Pandas.
