Overview

The Dean is a cornerstone of Crimson Global Academy, driving student and staff success through strategic oversight of academic programs and meaningful stakeholder collaboration. Working collaboratively with the Deputy Principal, other deans, principals, and the Head of School, you will support the effective operation and continuous improvement of school programs while ensuring the vision and integrity of the US Diploma Program remains central as it continues to serve students globally. This Dean will support curriculum alignment, maintenance, and development aligned with CGA initiatives, while providing essential support to teachers and students across all learning modes.

This role serves as a key operational partner to the Deputy Principal, providing direct support for group class instruction, student services, and day-to-day academic operations. The Dean helps ensure the Deputy Principal can focus on strategic initiatives and complex problem‑solving by managing core responsibilities, including homeroom programs, student check‑ins, faculty communication, and curriculum documentation.

The ideal candidate combines operational excellence with forward‑thinking innovation – someone who understands the nuances of online education while possessing the vision to help shape CGA as an educational institution of the future. Your ability to communicate effectively across time zones, solve complex problems, maintain a global perspective, collaborate across departments, and execute with precision will be essential to your success.


Key Responsibilities

* Student Success & Community Building
* Support the Deputy Principal in ensuring comprehensive student services and engagement across all learning modes
* Attend and support student processes and school‑wide assemblies
* Support and promote student participation in extracurricular activities
* Support and mentor student leaders in their roles and initiatives, coordinating with the Deputy Principal on NHS and club activities
* Attend and contribute to ceremonies that celebrate student achievements and student recognition programs
* Support implementation of best practices in online high school community engagement
* Proactively monitor student attendance and academic performance, implementing intervention strategies when necessary and escalating complex cases to the Deputy Principal
* Conduct regular student check‑ins to identify challenges and provide timely support, serving as a first point of contact before escalation
* Lead student homeroom programs across all sections to ensure consistent quality
* Support students across all three learning modes: CGA Group, Da Vinci, and Flex Courses
* Assist the Deputy Principal with student wellbeing programs and family communications
* Faculty Development & Curriculum Support
* Collaborate with the Deputy Principal, principals, other deans, and school leadership on policy development, implementation, and review
* Support group class teachers in delivering high‑quality instruction across all courses, assisting the Deputy Principal with teacher observations and feedback
* Lead curriculum alignment, maintenance, and creation initiatives to ensure consistency with CGA standards and educational goals, supporting the Deputy Principal's oversight of academic programs
* Develop and execute a comprehensive curriculum review cycle to continuously enhance educational offerings
* Create curriculum mapping documentation to ensure vertical and horizontal alignment across grade levels and subjects, supporting the Deputy Principal's curriculum oversight responsibilities
* Establish and maintain curriculum standards that reflect both US diploma requirements and global best practices
* Design and implement assessment strategies that align with curriculum objectives and measure student achievement effectively
* Identify and secure US pathway‑specific resources to enhance curriculum delivery
* Work closely with department heads and group class teachers to ensure course alignment, promote best practices in online teaching, and maintain consistent staff communication
* Facilitate professional development opportunities for teachers across all learning modes, supporting the Deputy Principal's staff development initiatives
* Participate in monthly staff briefings and contribute to teacher training focused on online pedagogy
* Provide day‑to‑day support for group class instructors, allowing the Deputy Principal to focus on strategic instructional leadership
* Operational Excellence & Administrative Support
* Partner with the Deputy Principal and leadership team on policy development, implementation, and periodic review
* Support the Deputy Principal with calendar management and timetabling coordination, ensuring timely communication of important dates to all stakeholders
* Assist with schedule changes and resolve minor conflicts, escalating complex issues to the Deputy Principal
* Coordinate effectively across multiple time zones to support CGA's global student body
* Support in maintaining organized student records and documentation in the student information system, ensuring data accuracy and clarity
* Monitor and help approve students through the Enrollment Improvement Channel, working collaboratively with Admissions Officers and the Deputy Principal
* Apply strong knowledge of the US diploma system and transfer credit policy to support student academic planning and course placement decisions
* Review and evaluate transfer credits in accordance with school policy, escalating complex cases to the Deputy Principal as needed
* Assist with communications to students, parents, and staff regarding academic programs, policies, and diploma requirements
* Support AP course coordination and College Board requirements as needed
* Take on additional responsibilities as reasonably requested by Crimson Global Academy
* Maintain and update staff and student‑facing documentation to ensure accuracy and relevance
* Support coordination and consistency across CGA Group, Da Vinci, and Flex Courses learning modes
* Assist the Deputy Principal with admissions support activities, including academic planning discussions and information sessions
* Help manage day‑to‑day operational tasks, enabling the Deputy Principal to focus on strategic problem‑solving and complex challenges


Qualifications

* 3-5 years of professional experience in education, with demonstrated success in student and curriculum support
* Strong understanding of the US diploma system, graduation requirements, and transcript management
* Knowledge of transfer credit evaluation and policy application
* Proven experience in remote work environments and ability to work effectively across multiple time zones
* Demonstrated skill in education program development and execution
* Experience supporting group class instruction and teacher development
* Understanding of differentiated instruction and learning accommodations
* Experience with student information systems and maintaining accurate academic records
* Counseling experience or qualification (preferred)
* Exceptional attention to detail with strong task prioritization abilities
* Adaptable mindset with capacity to pivot quickly in response to changing needs
* Self‑directed work style with ability to execute independently while maintaining alignment with institutional goals
* Strong collaborative skills and ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders across leadership levels, particularly in supporting the Deputy Principal's strategic initiatives
* Excellent organizational and time management skills to support operational efficiency
* Passion for educational innovation and willingness to initiate self‑driven projects that advance the school's mission
