Responsibilities
4. Conducting tasks in a highly prescriptive environment to support Submarine and shore-based systems and equipment.
5. Work as a fully integrated member of the Launcher Surface Support Equipment team. This may involve travel to other UK and USA sites.
6. Work alongside technicians and engineers in corrective / preventative maintenance and load testing of lifting equipment.
7. Requirement to support occasional overtime and on-call periods.
8. Attend training and maintain a Professional Development Record.
9. Potential to become qualified as an instructor depending on training, exposure, and experience.
10. Operation of overhead crane, Forklift Trucks, Scissor-Lift, Cherry Picker, including working at height.
11. Grit blast and paint spray operations.
12. Strict adherence to all Health and Safety protocols.
Security Clearance Requirement
The successful candidate must achieve the appropriate level (SC) of security clearance. More details can be found .
Required skills, qualifications and experience
13. Demonstrable experience in a Mechanical or Electrical hands-on role.
14. Proficient in using Microsoft Office 365 applications.
15. Understand the need to take ownership of tasks through to completion.
16. Pro-active approach to providing solutions to emergent challenges.
17. Time management and task ownership.
18. Good interpersonal skills are essential, as well as having the ability to communicate effectively, formally and informally, with a wide range of people and groups.
19. Enthusiastic, self-motivated and committed to ones duties and responsibilities.
20. Ability to work in a team environment.
21. Hold a current driving licence.

Lockheed Martin UK – Strategic Systems (LMUK SS) is the single contractor providing specialist Waterfront In-Service Support to one of the Royal Navy's Submarine Programs.
