We are looking for a full time Salaried GP, however we are happy to consider part time. The successful applicant should be motivated to provide excellent patient care.
We are based in the Waverley Medical Centre and have a patient list size of approximately 12,000 patients which are served by an experienced team of GP Partners, Salaried GPs, Advanced Nurse Practitioners, Practice Nurses and Health Care Assistants. We also work with a wider multidisciplinary team consisting of District Nurses, Pharmacotherapy, Mental Health Liaison Nurse, MSK Practitioners and a Paramedic, who carries out our home visits.
We benefit from the close proximity of the local Community Hospital and have a close working relationship with the Doctors and Staff in the Hospital.
Stranraer is a superb location for all outdoor activities. There are a variety of stunning locations within the region and the mix of beautiful countryside with access to urban opportunities will allow the successful candidates to embrace the unique challenges and opportunities presented by rural practice. The nearest ferry port being only 6 miles from Stranraer.
There is no out of hour's commitment.
A 'golden hello' may be available as well as a relocation package.
