Project Manager - Housing Transformation
Day Rate: £460 - £500 per day (Inside IR35)
Duration: Initial 3‑month contract, with a strong likelihood of extension
Location: Newham (2 days in the office, 3 days working from home)
Our public sector client is seeking an experienced Project Manager to support a high‑profile Housing Transformation programme.
This role sits on the transformation side of the organisation, working closely with Housing Services to drive delivery at pace. You will join the programme at its current stage, taking ownership of developing and managing robust project plans while delivering hands‑on project management in a fast‑paced local government environment.
Key Responsibilities
Developing and managing detailed project plans to support TOM implementation
Working closely with an external consultancy producing the TOM implementation plan
Driving the implementation of new performance reporting, policies and procedures
Leading extensive stakeholder engagement across Housing Services
Ensuring progress is driven forward quickly and effectively
Focus areas include repairs, maintenance, property services and complianceAbout You
Proven project management experience within a fast‑paced local government environment
Strong housing services background, ideally within a local authority
Solid experience working with compliance policies and procedures
Confident engaging and influencing senior stakeholders across complex services
Strong understanding of how local government operates
Experience working on transformation programmes
PRINCE2 and Agile experience
TOM experience is desirable but not essential (an external consultancy is producing the TOM, and you will support service‑side implementation)If you are an experienced local government project manager with housing transformation experience and are available for a contract opportunity, we would like to hear from you.
