Duties
* Assist in the inspection of aircraft structural components, learning to identify damage, wear, and compliance with engineering standards.
* Support the creation and maintenance of component workpacks, including technical data, inspection findings, and relevant documentation.
* Apply existing sheet metal skills to assist with structural repairs, part preparation, and workshop processes as required.
* Collaborate with other workshop zones, providing support across teams to ensure efficient workflow and timely task completion.
* Maintain high-quality standards in all work carried out, with close attention to accuracy, safety, and compliance with aviation regulations.
* Complete required paperwork and reports accurately, ensuring traceability and alignment with the Maintenance Organisation Exposition (MOE).
* Adhere strictly to company policies, safety procedures, and regulatory requirements at all times.
* Take an active role in maintaining a clean, safe, and organised work environment in accordance with Health and Safety policies.
* Demonstrate a proactive attitude, willingness to learn, and commitment to professional development in a regulated aerospace setting.
Requirements
* Proven background in engineering and maintenance, with hands‑on experience in structural repairs, fabrication, and assembly of sheet metal components.
* Skilled in the use of hand and power tools, precision measuring equipment, and workshop machinery relevant to structural work.
* Experience working to technical drawings, specifications, and engineering instructions, ensuring accuracy and quality in all tasks.
* Demonstrated ability to maintain high standards of workmanship, cleanliness, and safety in a workshop environment.
* Strong understanding of health and safety regulations and commitment to maintaining a safe working environment at all times.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to follow detailed procedures and complete technical documentation accurately.
* Flexible and adaptable, with a willingness to learn new inspection and aviation‑specific processes.
* Comfortable working shifts, including nights, in a fast‑paced and changing environment.
* Unrestricted right to work in the UK.
