Overview
As an Animal Feeding Volunteer, you'll play a vital role in supporting our morning and evening feeding routines, ensuring our animals are well cared for and happy. This is a hands-on opportunity to connect with nature, learn about animal husbandry and be part of a supportive community.
Responsibilities
* Morning Feed (AM): Assist with feeding our larger animals, small animals and poultry to start their day right.
* Evening Feed (PM): Assist with feeding our larger animals and tucking in the small animals and poultry for the night.
* Animal Pen Care: Keep living spaces clean and comfortable through regular housekeeping.
* Outdoor Work: Physical activity, including heavy lifting; DBS check required.
* Follow policies and procedures: Equal opportunities policy, Health and Safety Policy.
* Support and training: Ongoing support, Volunteer induction, Training provided, Volunteer policy, Volunteers covered by insurance, Written role description.
* Suitable for under 18s.
Qualifications
* A self-starter who can work independently and take initiative.
* Strong communication skills and a calm, patient approach.
* Good time management and the ability to think on your feet.
* A team player who is also confident working solo.
