Fixed Term Consultant Paediatrician with an Expertise in Cardiology
We are looking to appoint a Fixed Term Consultant Paediatrician for a 3 month, 10PA's post with experience in cardiac echography at West Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust.
The successful candidate will work collaboratively with the consultant team and the PEC, covering general paediatrics and neonatal ward rounds, general paediatrics clinic and participating in the on-call rota for General Paediatrics and Neonates.
The post holder will join a team of 16 Paediatric Consultants who share General Paediatric and neonatal work, supported by 4 SAS doctors, 4 Tier 2 Paediatric STs, 7 Tier 1 doctors, 2 CANPs, 2 Physician Associates, and clinical specialists in Epilepsy, Asthma and Diabetes and Cardiology.
Routine educational activities include a weekly junior doctor teaching programme, quality meetings, Child Protection Peer review, and Neonatal Mortality & Morbidity meetings as part of the monthly programme.
Key Responsibilities
* Paediatric Cardiology New and Follow‑Up clinics: weekly
* Joint outreach clinics with Brompton and Evelina Hospitals
* Echocardiography for inpatients on Paediatric and Neonatal units
* Contribute to committees, working groups and training of staff within the department, particularly cardiology
* Participate in an on‑call rota (1:16) for General Paediatrics and Neonates
