Job Title: Regulatory Housing Manager
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and skilled professional to lead the development, delivery and implementation of a quality assurance and improvement programme across the Council's Housing Directorate.
The successful candidate will provide assurance that the Council is compliant with all statutory and regulatory housing requirements, developing action plans and remediations where we are deficient.
The ideal candidate will have significant knowledge and experience of preparing and implementing housing policies, procedures, formal reports and presentations in a local authority setting.
They will also have excellent investigative and problem-solving skills, be able to spot flaws in an argument but take a collaborative approach to finding solutions and operate effectively through prioritisation, delegation of tasks and organisation of available resources.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop, deliver and implement a quality assurance and improvement programme across the Council's Housing Directorate
* Provide assurance that the Council is compliant with all statutory and regulatory housing requirements
* Line-manage directly one Housing Improvement Analyst and one Housing Delivery Officer
* Lead, motivate and develop your team to provide expert diagnostic, interpretation, advice, support and challenge to the wider housing service
