Civil Engineer (Drainage/Infrastructure)

Salary: £32,000 – £37,000 per annum
A well‑respected, innovative multidisciplinary consultancy is looking for an experienced, enthusiastic Civil Engineer with a strong background in Drainage and Infrastructure to join our team. The role involves working on a challenging array of projects across a variety of sectors in and around Milton Keynes.

Responsibilities
* Design drainage, highways, and external works for new build and refurbishment projects
* Produce technical documents with respect to relevant Section Agreements (particularly S38, S278, and S104)
* Liaise with clients and other stakeholders at all stages of project delivery, from initial inception through to successful implementation and delivery
* Mentor colleagues, share best practice, and aid in their Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
Required Skills and Experience
* Degree (or equivalent qualification) in Civil Engineering
* Demonstrable experience in a design‑based role within a UK consultancy setting
* Prior experience in producing Drainage Strategies and Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS)
* Experience with highways and external works design
* Excellent working knowledge of software such as AutoCAD, Causeway Flow, MicroDrainage, Ground Modelling, WinDes, etc.
* Experience liaising with clients and stakeholders across the public and private sectors
* Outstanding written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
* Good literacy and numeracy skills
* Ability to work as part of a high‑performing team and independently
* Full, valid UK driving licence
Desirable Skills and Experience
* Experience in Flood Risk sector (including authoring Flood Risk Assessments) or Transport Planning
* Experience with BIM
* Experience managing an extensive range of projects
* Good working knowledge of Civils 3D, Site 3D, and Revit
* Possession of Chartered Status (or actively working to attain it)
