Product Development & Strategy:
Capital Dynamics’ Product Development and Strategy team is responsible for the launch of every product on the CD platform across a diverse set of alternative investment strategies and local markets. The team also has ownership of a number of critical strategic initiatives across the firm including identifying opportunities to expand our investment strategies, launch into new markets, and orchestrate the firm’s ESG program and practices.
The Clean Energy infrastructure team makes direct equity investments in carbon-reducing renewable energy power generation from late-stage development to commercial operations. Capital Dynamics is one of the largest U.K. onshore wind operators and invested in one of the largest subsidy free solar PV portfolios in Europe.
Role Purpose:
Capital Dynamics is seeking to hire a Senior Product Specialist to support our growing Clean Energy business across product development, investor relations, fundraising and fund marketing support. The ideal candidate will have detailed knowledge of the clean energy / renewables infrastructure equity and debt investment markets, and can bring meaningful relationships with investors in the sector.
The product specialist, will work closely with our Clean Energy Investment and Business Development teams, supporting the cultivation of prospect investors and maintain ongoing relationships with our established client base. This includes analysing the LP market for potential clean energy infrastructure investors, driving product innovation for the clean energy business, and taking a lead in supporting activities for new fundraising.
The senior professional will lead a small team of product specialists, responsible for a range of investor relations tasks including product collateral development and responding to investor requests including RfP and DDQ’s.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead product development initiatives, structuring strategy ideation and tailored solutions for clients including separate managed accounts, bespoke vehicles and sustainable impact funds solutions across clean energy funds.
* Lead the creation, launch and coordination of creative marketing strategies for new clean energy product offerings, in line with the fundraising process and goals.
* Take responsibility for the compilation of all clean energy fund offering documents and due diligence materials.
* Manage the creation of client communications, reports and investment summaries, working alongside the client relations and investment management teams.
* Coordinate regular updates of all client-facing information and materials, including the client due diligence data site, funds track record and the company website.
* Lead the integration of Environmental, Social, Governance initiatives into all clean energy products.
* Oversee the production of the annual Clean Energy sustainability report and similar bespoke reports.
Key skills, attributes and qualifications:
* Minimum of 10 years experience in a similar Product Development / Product Specialist or Investor Relations role.
* Minimum 2:1 degree from a recognized university. Degree subjects include - Business, Finance, Responsible Investment, Renewable Energy.
* Firm technical financial knowledge and analytical ability including, but not limited to, understanding of financial ratios such as IRR, NPV and dividend yield.
* Strong interest and solid experience in Clean Energy / Renewables and Private Equity.
* Proven project management ability and process oriented approach to work.
* The ability to work in a performance-driven, high-pressure environment.
* Mature, creative thinking and solutions-oriented; with a “driver” personality.
* Highly developed interpersonal and customer service skills.
* High proficiency in MS Excel, Word and Power Point.
* Deep record of accomplishment of writing top quality professional presentations, presenting high impact messages in a clear, aesthetic format (using original ideas where necessary).
