Royal Mail is now recruiting drivers at Exeter Mail Centre. As a key representative of Royal Mail, you will work within a team to uphold the high standards of service our customers expect.
About the Role
As a driver, you will be the public face of Royal Mail, spending much of your day driving, collecting bulk mail from major customers and Post Offices, and transporting mail between Mail Centres and Delivery Offices. Your responsibilities will include loading, unloading, and sorting mail into correct onward distribution.
About You
We seek upbeat, self-motivated individuals comfortable working alone or in a team, with a strong sense of community. The role involves flexible shifts, outdoor work in all weather conditions, and walking, which helps keep you fit. Previous experience in a customer-facing role is advantageous.
Driving Licence Requirements
A C1 Category licence (current UK address) with fewer than 6 penalty points is essential; a clean licence is preferred. You must be able to show this at assessment. A CPC qualification and Drivers Qualification Card (DQC) with 35 hours training are preferable but not essential. You will also need to present your Digital Tachograph Card if selected for assessment.

Pay and Benefits
* Weekly pay of £602.60 pro rata, plus overtime and shift allowances
* Permanent contracts with a 38-hour work week, covering various shifts including weekends
