Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Security Supervisor to oversee the safety and security operations within our facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a keen eye for detail, ensuring that all security protocols are adhered to while fostering a secure environment for both staff and visitors. This role requires a proactive approach to loss prevention, effective surveillance management, and the ability to respond swiftly to any incidents.
Responsibilities
* Supervise and coordinate the activities of the security team, ensuring compliance with all security policies and procedures.
* Conduct regular patrols of the premises to monitor for suspicious activity or breaches of security.
* Manage and operate CCTV systems and other surveillance equipment, ensuring proper functionality at all times.
* Develop and implement loss prevention strategies to minimise theft and damage to property.
* Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, or emergencies, providing first aid when necessary until professional help arrives.
* Prepare detailed reports on incidents, investigations, and daily activities for management review.
* Train new security personnel on procedures, protocols, and the use of security equipment.
* Liaise with local law enforcement agencies as required during investigations or emergencies.
Requirements
* Proven experience in a supervisory role within a security environment.
* Strong knowledge of loss prevention techniques and best practices.
* Proficiency in operating CCTV systems and conducting surveillance operations.
* Certification in first aid is highly desirable.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse groups of people.
* Strong observational skills with an ability to remain calm under pressure.
* Flexibility to work various shifts as required by operational needs.
