Position Overview: As a Disassembly Fitter within Finning, the largest CAT dealership in the UK and Ireland, you will work in a team disassembling machine components from engines and transmissions to axles and cylinder heads.

Responsibilities
* Undertake detailed inspections of machines to confirm or expand on initial field inspection reports and support a commercial assessment of likely repair, replacement or refurbishment work.
* Produce a comprehensive list of parts and materials required for proposed work.
* Undertake overhaul, repair or refurbishment work on machines to the agreed work plan, remove and dispatch components for specialist attention, reinstall original or replacement parts, or repair original parts.
Qualifications
* NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Automotive, Agricultural Engineering, HGV, or relevant industry experience (e.g., Hose Engineers, Mechanical Fitters).
* Experience in mechanical service environments or operating construction equipment in confined spaces; ability for career progression to Plant Fitter; willingness to undertake training blocks at Cannock HQ (approx. 2 weeks).
Knowledge & Skills
* Understanding of general service manuals and computerized Service Information System.
* Practical knowledge of tooling and equipment for repairs on heavy machinery; rigging, slinging, and jacking procedures; electrical, hydraulic and mechanical fitting knowledge.
Accountability
* Adhere to agreed job times and ensure high-quality finished machines.
* Maintain machine availability for hire and proper stock presentation.
* Ensure positive customer feedback and zero accidents by maintaining a tidy, safe working area and SHEQ compliance.

Education And Experience
* Apprentice trained to NVQ Level 2 or equivalent, or minimum 3 years\' mechanical service experience in a similar industry.
* Practical experience operating construction equipment in confined spaces and mechanical fitting on large-scale machines.
