Our Client is looking for an Operations Manager to lead the warehouse, logistic and after-sale aspects of their business. They are an SME e-commerce business based in Margate, shipping globally.
Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an Operations Manager located in Margate. The Operations Manager will report directly to the MD and be responsible for overseeing daily operations.
Responsibilities include oversight of the day-to-day management of operations of the business (warehouse, logistics, after-sales), ensuring the business hits key SLAs with customers and internal KPIs, managing staff, developing operational policies, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations. Being able to coordinate between departments and prioritise tasks with other team members is key. The Operations Manager will also improve processes, enhance quality control, and ensure customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
* Skills in managing daily operations (including staff), process improvement, and quality control
* Strong leadership and team coordination skills
* Knowledge of best practice in warehousing and transport
* Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
* A sense of urgency and drive to get things done
* Prior experience in an operations management role is a plus but the Client is willing to work with first time operations managers
* The ability to prioritse
