A client within the Public Sector based in the East Midlands is currently recruiting for an Estates Surveyor to join their Property Strategy and Estates team as soon as possible. The client is offering a full time, temporary position on an ongoing basis with the ideal candidate having experience of working within a local authority within a property and estates management environment.\n \nThe Role \nKey purpose of the role is to manage a varied caseload of property and estates management activities across operational and investment portfolios, including Landlord and Tenant activities including Rent Reviews and Leases renewals on commercial property.\n\nKey responsibilities will include but not be limited to:\n • Delivering lease renewals, rent reviews, valuations, and resolving title disputes\n • Leading property disposals and acquisitions including planning-led development opportunities\n • Supporting the council’s asset and insurance valuation programmes\n • Creating and implementing short and long-term property strategies\n • Mentoring junior staff and supporting RICS APC candidates\n • Contributing to cross-sector partnerships to improve service delivery\n • Ensuring compliance with equality, health and safety, and public sector standards\n\n The Candidate \nTo be considered for this role you will require:\n • A degree in Estates Management or a similar discipline\n • Membership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS)\n • Experience in delivering a broad range of estates and property functions across a public sector portfolio\n The below skills would be beneficial for the role:\n • Experience in influencing stakeholders and negotiating value-driven property solutions\n • Sound understanding of landlord and tenant legislation, valuation, and property transactions\n • Strong communication, planning and IT skills with the ability to manage complex caseloads\n • A proactive and collaborative approach to delivering strategic outcomes\n \nThe client is looking to move quickly with this role and as such are offering £400 per day Umbrella LTD Inside IR35 (approx. £325 per day PAYE).\n\nHow to Apply\n If this position sounds of interest, email a copy of your up-to-date CV to (url removed) or call Amy at Service Care Construction on (phone number removed)\n to discuss the vacancy in more detail.\n \nReferral Bonus\nIf this role is not suitable for yourself, but you know someone who may be interested, please pass on their details, or forward these details to them.
