About The Role
The Longevity Client Manager, part of the longevity pillar within the UK & Ireland Life strategy, ensures effective operational contract management and exemplary client management in a rapidly growing longevity portfolio. The role covers selected UK and Dutch business across a range of clients.
Key Responsibilities
Support the Head of In Force and the longevity team with operational management of the in‑force longevity portfolio.
Deal Executions – 20%
* Provide project‑management oversight for new deal executions, adhering to internal approval processes and delivering associated workstreams.
* Negotiate and agree operational aspects of new deals, ensuring scalability.
* Lead new‑deal due‑diligence exercises, including producing relevant reports.
Deal & Client Management – 70%
* Lead and strengthen business relationships with specific existing clients.
* Collaborate with clients and internal teams to ensure timely transition from execution to business‑as‑usual.
* Oversee delivery of business‑as‑usual and ad‑hoc elements of existing longevity transactions.
* Lead audit activity for existing deals, producing relevant reports.
* Assess changes to existing contractual terms, balancing client needs with business risk, and manage associated contract addendums through execution.
* Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure deal aspects are understood and managed in line with risk appetite and guidelines.
* Manage deadlines and deliverables, escalating issues as appropriate.
General Longevity Team Support – 10%
* Project‑manage various longevity projects and agreed workstreams.
* Produce reports and presentations as required.
* Support promotion of longevity within the UK office and the wider Munich Re Group.

* Experience in pensions, longevity, or reinsurance operations.
* Ability to produce high‑quality written material (reports, presentations, stakeholder communications).
Desirable
* Relationship management experience.
* Demonstrable ability to review, interpret and summarise complex legal documentation.
* Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (PivotTables, lookups, data analysis).
* Project management expertise.
