Solution Designer Team Lead – North of England

My client is looking for a Solution Designer Team Lead with strong communication skills and proven experience in the finance industry. This role requires both technical expertise and leadership capabilities to design innovative business solutions, guide a team of solution designers, and act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and mentor a team of solution designers, ensuring high-quality deliverables and alignment with business objectives.
* Collaborate with business stakeholders in finance and accounting to understand requirements and translate them into effective technology solutions.
* Design and oversee end-to-end solution architectures that integrate seamlessly with existing systems and processes.
* Ensure solutions are aligned with industry best practices, compliance, and security standards.
* Communicate complex technical ideas clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
* Drive solution design reviews, approve technical designs, and provide guidance to engineering teams.
* Contribute to strategic planning and decision-making, balancing innovation with operational needs.
Required Qualifications
* Proven experience as a Solution Designer, Solution Architect, or similar role in the finance or accounting sector.
* Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience guiding technical professionals.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
* Deep understanding of finance and/or accounting processes and systems.
* Ability to create clear, structured solution designs and present them to executives and technical teams alike.
* Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to balance business requirements, cost, and technical feasibility.
Preferred Skills
* Knowledge of financial ERP systems, accounting software, or core banking platforms.
* Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
* Experience with solution governance frameworks.
* Strong analytical skills and ability to drive process improvements.
