Overview
HR Case Manager role at The University of Edinburgh. Grade UE07: £41,064 - £48,822 per annum (pro-rata if part time). CSG / HR Services. Full-time: 35 hours per week. Open-ended (permanent). The post is full-time, but part-time or flexible patterns are considered, including hybrid working on a non-contractual basis. Base location is the University’s Holyrood campus, Edinburgh city centre.
The Opportunity
As a HR Case Manager, you will support managers and staff through formal case management processes, including grievance, discipline, absence management, probation and capability. This is a key role within HR that supports resolution of staffing situations across the University.
The University (circa 18,000 staff) presents a variety of employee relations situations, often complex. The role will develop interpersonal skills such as coaching, influencing, conflict resolution, empathy, and resilience. There is satisfaction in resolving staffing issues and helping people move forwards, and Case Managers can spot organisational themes needing attention and help develop managerial capability.
Your Skills And Attributes For Success
* Experience of working in HR at advisory level supporting formal HR casework at all stages of the process
* A sound knowledge of UK employment law
* Ability to evaluate complex situations and provide clear business-focused advice
* Ability to co-ordinate and drive forward casework through excellent organisational and communication skills
* An interest in helping people through difficult situations, with a high degree of personal resilience
