Overview
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to help deliver regulatory responsibilities as the Enforcement Authority for the Reservoirs Act 1975 in England. The Reservoirs Act helps to ensure the safe operation and management of dams.
Responsibilities
* monitor compliance with the Reservoirs Act 1975 for the 2140 reservoirs in England
* manage day-to-day correspondence
* record incoming documentation on our database to ensure records are accurate and up to date
* encourage compliance when reports or certificates are not received as expected
* be the first point of contact for reservoir owners and panel engineers
* provide information and advice on the requirements of the Act
Role Details
This is a part-time job share role (22.2 hours per week). You will join the Environmental Assessment and Reservoir Regulation department within the Flood & Coastal Risk Management (FCRM) Directorate. The Reservoir Regulation team is nationally dispersed and comprises 25+ experienced colleagues responsible for regulating more than 2140 large raised reservoirs in England. Some travel and occasional overnight stays may be required.

If you are applying from the Civil Service please note that the Environment Agency is not part of HM Civil Service and you would not be a Crown Servant in the event of appointment. You will not be eligible for continuous service.
