Role Overview
The Christie Sarcoma Nursing Team invites an experienced and compassionate Band 7 Clinical Nurse Specialist to deliver high‑quality, person‑centred care for patients with sarcoma at the Withington site. The role focuses on both curative and metastatic disease, supporting patients and families throughout the cancer pathway and working closely with multidisciplinary teams.
Responsibilities
* Deliver specialist nursing support for patients diagnosed with sarcoma within the wider nursing team.
* Provide expert clinical advice, information, and emotional support to enable informed decision‑making.
* Manage advanced communication, proactive symptom management and coordinate care with other team members.
* Contribute to service development, quality improvement and research activities related to sarcoma care.
Qualifications
* Minimum of three years post‑registration nursing experience, with a strong record in oncology.
* Experience or knowledge in systemic anti‑cancer therapies (SACT) and palliative care for patients with advanced disease.
* Excellent communication skills, flexibility and a commitment to compassionate, patient‑focused care.
