GSL Education is proud to be working in partnership with a highly respected secondary school in Winchester, seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated support team from September.

About the Role:
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be a vital part of the inclusion team, working closely with teaching staff and SENCOs to provide tailored support to students with a range of additional needs, including autism, speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional, and mental health challenges.
You will:
* Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with identified SEN.
* Help create a safe and supportive learning environment where all students feel seen and valued.
* Assist with differentiated learning activities and provide feedback to teaching staff.
* Build positive, respectful relationships with students to encourage their development both academically and socially.
* Work in line with EHCPs and contribute to reviews as required.

* Has proven experience working with children or young people with special educational needs, ideally within a secondary school setting.
* Is calm, patient, and flexible in their approach.
* Are confident supporting learners with a variety of needs, including ASD and SEMH.
* Understands how to support learning and behaviour in a positive and proactive manner.
* Can work well both independently and as part of a team.
