Graduate Civil Engineer - Regulated Water (Bristol) - Jacobs
Join Jacobs' Graduate Development Programme (GDP) and begin your career solving water sector challenges across the UK and Ireland. The GDP is a structured two-year programme combining blended learning, mentoring, progress reviews and networking to build knowledge and skills in human and consulting disciplines, strategy and technical capabilities. The programme is on-the-job driven, with opportunities to work on meaningful projects and collaborate with industry leaders to deliver outcomes for complex challenges.
The start date for this position is September 2026.
Responsibilities
* Join a multidisciplinary team delivering water sector projects (water/wastewater networks, treatment, asset management, integrated catchment management, network modelling and project/programme management).
* Contribute to design work including water treatment plants, pumping stations, distribution and drainage networks, and pipelines.
* Prepare feasibility studies for new water and wastewater assets, including regional transfer considerations.
* Collaborate with teams across diverse markets (water, datacentres, energy and power) and operate within timeframes and budgets.
Qualifications
* Be working towards a relevant Degree or Master’s qualification in Civil Engineering, Civil & Environmental Engineering or similar.
* A flexible self-starter with a drive to develop your career; adaptable to change and eager to learn.
* You must have the permanent right to work in the UK.
