An established Housing Association in the Scottish Borders is seeking an experienced and proactive Property Officer to support the delivery of reactive repairs services across its housing stock.
This is an initial 6–8 week temporary assignment, with the potential to become a permanent opportunity for the right candidate.
The Role
You will play a key role in ensuring tenants receive a high-quality, responsive repairs service. Your main responsibilities will include:

Carrying out reactive repairs inspections across properties

Diagnosing defects and specifying appropriate remedial works
*
Managing contractors to ensure works are completed to required standards, timescales, and budgets
*
Conducting post-inspections and quality checks
*
Ensuring compliance with relevant housing and safety standards
*
Providing excellent customer service to tenants throughout the repairs process
Requirements
*
Previous experience in a property management, maintenance, or housing officer role
*
Strong knowledge of reactive repairs processes
*
Ability to assess building defects and specify remedial works
*
Excellent communication and organisational skills
*
Full UK driving licence
*
Access to your own vehicle (essential for travelling across the Scottish Borders)
