About The Role
We are looking for Bank Support Worker/Carers within our community support team in Blackburn. The role involves covering days, evenings, wake and watch shifts, and weekends on a rota basis. Driving is essential as the people we support have their own mobility cars and use them to engage with activities. The individuals we support have a range of needs including learning disabilities, autism, and acquired brain injury.

* The position involves lone working.
* You need to be able to work on a rota that includes shift work and weekends.
* You will be required to work wake and watch shifts.
* Being a driver is essential, but owning a car is not necessary.
* Experience in complex care is preferred.
* You will support a young lady in her own home.
* Providing personal care is part of the role.
The Role

* Provide practical assistance and emotional support to help them achieve their goals and respect their individuality, supporting their choices as per their support plans.
* Promote their health, well-being, and cultural and spiritual beliefs in an inclusive manner.
* Facilitate social, educational, or work activities, including visits to family and friends, walks, shopping, and recreational activities.
* Perform general housekeeping duties, including shopping, domestic chores, and elements of personal care.
* Complete relevant records and documentation as part of the role.
