Mechanical Design Engineer - Hydraulics

Mechanical Design Engineer (Hydraulics) - The Role:
* Design and specify hydraulic systems, producing schematics, 3D models, and detailed manufacturing drawings
* Model and validate systems using simulation tools such as Simcenter AMEsim
* Produce technical documentation, including calculations and design justifications
* Support system development and testing
* Manage supplier selection and liaison throughout the design and build process
* Provide commissioning and technical support for vessels
* Collaborate closely within a small, cross-functional engineering team
* Contribute to wider mechanical design work as required
Mechanical Design Engineer (Hydraulics)- The Person:
* A qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Fluid Power, Control Systems, or a related discipline
* Experience in hydraulic system design (including schematics and component selection)
* Solid understanding of both industrial and mobile hydraulic systems
* Proficiency in CAD for mechanical design (3D modelling & drawings)
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
* Clear communication skills and the ability to work well in a collaborative environment
* Willingness to travel for commissioning and support activities
* Experience using Simcenter AMEsim – highly desirable
* NFPC or equivalent hydraulic training – desirable (can be provided for the right candidate)
