In line with our Global strategy and purpose, we have an exciting opportunity to join the UK Transformation Programme as a Senior Business Analyst on a 2-year Fixed Term Contract, helping to shape and implement the target operating model for our Commercial business.
Role Description
The purpose of the role is to enable organisational change by using specialised business analysis, change management skills, and a disciplined business analysis approach. You will support the Transformation Programme to articulate the need for change by defining requirements and recommending solutions that will maximise the value delivered by the business to its customers.
You will work closely with key stakeholders across the business and IT to contribute to the delivery of a varied portfolio of work, whilst building effective relationships across all levels.
Salary Information
Pay: Circa £60,000 per year.
Pay is based on relevant experience, skills for the role, and location. Salary is only one part of our total reward package.
Key Accountabilities
1. Support the scoping of change initiatives required for the Transformation Programme, working within the Business Analysis Framework.
2. Work with stakeholders at all levels within the organization to elicit, define, and manage business requirements, ensuring clear end-to-end traceability.
3. Ensure requirements are fully understood and approved by stakeholders, supporting Change Control and prioritisation.
4. Support the development, systems testing, user acceptance testing, and implementation of solutions by working closely with solution partners, suppliers, and business stakeholders.
5. Learn from experiences and understand how benefits have been delivered by participating in retrospectives, lessons learned, and knowledge share sessions.
Essential Skills
1. Passionate about the BA role with experience in several change projects utilizing Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
2. Experience as a Business Analyst in the General Insurance Claims domain.
3. Able to elicit comprehensive requirements and achieve consensus from stakeholders using various analysis techniques.
4. Solid experience in Agile, creating Epics and User Stories using Confluence and Jira.
5. Good understanding of Use Cases, Value Streams, and Personas.
6. Ability to apply recognised industry standard modelling techniques including data modelling and BPMN.
7. Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
8. An agile mindset with a flexible and adaptable approach to delivering against business priorities.
9. A Level education or equivalent.
Desirable Skills
1. BCS Diploma in Business Analysis or equivalent.
2. Experience in Commercial General Insurance.
3. Knowledge of Guidewire Claim Center.
4. Experience in defining requirements for internal and external system integrations.
