Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Rehabilitation Assistant to support a male client in his mid 40s in South East Essex with a brain injury. This is a part-time role (15 hours per week), working closely with the client and a multidisciplinary team to promote recovery, independence, and community reintegration.
This role would suit someone who shares similar interests in DIY and sports, and can actively engage the client in these hobbies as part of his rehabilitation and well-being.
Key Duties:
* Work as part of a
multidisciplinary team
to support the client's rehabilitation journey
* Support the client in achieving his
rehabilitation and cognitive goals
* Assist with the client's daily routine
, promoting independence with activities of daily living
* Attend appointments
with the client if needed
* Support the client with
reintegrating into the community
, encouraging social and functional engagement
* Engage the client in
shared interests and activities
, particularly DIY projects and sports
Requirements:
* Previous experience working as a
rehabilitation assistant
* Experience supporting individuals with brain injury
* Ability to build trust and maintain professional boundaries
* Right to work in the UK
* An enhanced DBS check
and
carer insurance
(or willingness to obtain)
* A valid
UK driving licence
and access to a car (desirable but not essential)
