Contract: Permanent | Pay: Starting at £26,403 [plus an additional approx 20%], incremental for 5 years to £28,142 [plus an additional approx 20%] with yearly cost of living pay rises | Shifts cover days, nights, weekends and bank holidays working alternate 11.5hr days and nights | The position is for 1 FTE (37hrs average)
ABOUT THE ROLE
In This Job you will
Proactively monitor CCTV camera images, adopt both an active and pro-active response by ensuring the information observed is correctly interpreted and communicated to all relevant organisations, mainly the blue light services.
Identify individual cameras and targets to assist, wherever possible, in the identification of criminal and suspicious activities and to take appropriate action.
Work in close liaison with the Police and other organisations, to ensure the system is effective, efficient and operating at its full potential.
Attend Court, wherever necessary, to give evidence.
Be responsible for the supervision of all persons visiting the Control Room and ensuring their compliance with the Data Protection Act and all relevant Codes of Practice.
Monitor lone worker alarms, business alarms, third party CCTV and all other work that aligns with working in an emergency Control Centre.
You will take emergency Out of Hours calls into the council during evening and weekends, resolve each call, provide advice and make the necessary outbound service call if required.
Keep and maintain records, relevant statistical information and to write reports as required and to carry out all other administrative tasks relevant to the post.

Have experience in problem solving

Be confident and have the ability to think fast on your feet
Be happy to use radios to multiple other radio users in a calm and confident manner
Be able to multi task under pressure
Be flexible in your approach to the work day
Be able to obtain an SIA Licence in CCTV (which includes passing a week long course) and obtain NPPV Vetting to level 2 (full)
Be able to work nights, days, weekends and bank holidays inclusive of Christmas.
