Domus are searching for a dedicated health and social care professional to lead a team of Learning Disability support specialists in Hull, East Ridings.
Ideally, we are looking for a care professional with Learning Disability support experience who has previously led staff in service. We would certainly consider a highly experienced Support Worker looking to take a step up into leadership.

Key Responsibilities of a Team Leader:
1. Lead and direct the teams in person centered planning and support for the people we support, ensuring that tailored support plans are completed, reviewed, and continuously developed to meet individual needs, wishes and outcomes.
2. Ensure teams actively support and promote the health and well-being of people we support and that current issues or changes in health, behavioural, emotional, psychological, or mental health needs are reported to the relevant professionals and support sought if necessary.
3. Lead and direct teams to facilitate and empower independence of people we support.
4. Take an active role in the development and growth of the Organisation, supporting the manager with business development objectives and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in line with the Organisational strategic aims and objectives.
5. Maintaining an up to date knowledge of best practice outlined by the Care Quality Commission.
6. Be responsible for nurturing and development Support staff.
7. Complete the weekly Rota to best suit the needs of the staff team and the people supported in service.
Senior Team Leader Requirements:
8. Level 3 Social Care qualification (or willing to work towards)
9. An existing Team Leader or Senior Support Worker with Supported Living or Residential experience.
10. Experience of working at a supervisory level in care/support setting (ideally)
11. Lots of experience working with people with Learning Disabilities or Challenging Behaviours
12. Good knowledge and practical implementation of CQC regulations
13. Ability to recognise, challenge, and remedy bad practice with the Service Manager’s guidance
14. Good leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills
15. Confident, flexible, and efficient, happy to work on a shift basis and on call where required
16. Ability to set and work to deadlines
17. Good level of people management skills.
18. Computer skills in Microsoft office particularly word, excel, outlook and the internet.
19. Able to organise your week effectively
