BBA Shipping & Transport Ltd specialise in the worldwide movement of horses by air, road and sea.
The company currently has a position available for a 7.5 Tonne Horsebox Driver to join our existing Equine Transport Team. The primary role is to transport thoroughbred horses from/to UK, Ireland and mainland Europe.
The successful applicant must have a category C1 licence, up to date drivers CPC card and Certificates of Competence in the Transportation of Horses in line with UK and EU Regulations. BBA would consider training on all of the above for a suitable person with excellent horse skills.
An experienced horseman /women is essential. A clean driving licence and valid passport is also required as well as some horsebox driving experience.
Duties would include loading and unloading horses for travel, keeping the lorries clean and reporting any defects immediately to the office team. You will be required to drive on both single manned and double manned trips.
The role is varied and will include working over weekends and bank holidays. You must be able to work on your own initiative, as well as part of the travelling team.
Salary is dependent on experience.
