Role Overview Reporting directly to the Global Head of Marketing and Communications (M&C), the Marketing Operations Director will work in partnership with the Global M&C team to focus on planning, oversight, and delivery of integrated M&C projects. This includes oversight of key operational and administrative functions, building robust processes and procedures for effective implementation throughout the function. This newly created role is a technical, process-oriented position, which requires an understanding of how various marketing and communications disciplines work together to deliver on objectives. Equally, success in this role requires experience in establishing close working relationships with stakeholders across the business to become a trusted partner. Stakeholders includes Global M&C, Research & Strategy, Fund Management, Product Development, Investor Relations, Investor Services, Finance, Regional COOs, Global Funds Team, and Legal and Compliance teams.
Role and Accountabilities:
Project Management
1. Work with M&C leads to translate campaign plans / project briefs into clear actionable delivery plans.
2. Engage with business stakeholders, ensuring roles, responsibilities, deliverables, and timelines are clearly communicated, and manage overall delivery of projects to completion.
3. Collaborate with the M&C team to develop and maintain our workflow management tool; Workfront, utilizing campaign briefs and reporting dashboards to update stakeholders on progress and usage.
4. 1st line review and approval of content, ensuring messaging is aligned with overarching objectives, compliance requirements and in line with brand standards.
5. Hold regular project reviews with M&C and stakeholders to identify improvement opportunities.
Process enhancement
6. Review and update existing processes, design and create new operating processes.
7. Build and maintain a standard operating playbook.
8. Produce regular management reports.
Budget management
9. Work with regional and global finance teams to develop annual budgets aligned with business plans, in coordination with regional and global M&C leads.
10. Central point of contact for marketing vendor management including liaising with legal for contracts, approvals and setting up payment admin
11. Invoice management and approvals, review finance dashboards for regular budget reconciliation
Strategic operational programmes
12. Partner with the Global Head of M&C to drive LaSalle’s Client Experience programme, working with Investor Relations, Investor Services, and other stakeholder groups to define workstreams and project roadmap.
13. Support Product Marketing efforts to enhance marketing collateral for new and existing products, continuing to refine and enhance use of the Juniper Square Investor Portal as the central information hub for investors.
14. Represent M&C on various project working groups, identifying key areas of engagement and collaboration, in particular sales enablement, technology and AI
15. Lead on planning and execution of workstream deliverables as related to M&C activities, liaising with key stakeholder groups.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
16. 10+ years’ experience in an in-house marketing and communications function preferably at an institutional investment manager, Real estate / private markets experience highly desirable.
17. Experience in project management and actively collaborating with a wide range of stakeholders.
18. A self-starter who is confident working through ambiguity to evaluate and develop clear processes and plans.
19. A results and action-orientated approach; ability to drive projects through to completion, adhering to budgets and deadlines.
20. Working knowledge of workflow management tools
21. Experience of marketing automation technology, content management systems and CRM platforms is beneficial, experience of working with Juniper Square is highly desirable.
22. Effective communication and influencing skills, and high attention to detail.
